Boston Agrex: Boston, MA global commodities trading company doing business in more than 75 countries. Originally retained in 2004 to upgrade and enhance company’s Management Information System from VDF7 to VDF11. Over the years version upgrades and major system enhancements have been performed such as conversion to SQL Server from native database.

Cardinal Health (formerly Owen Healthcare): Houston, TX based hospital pharmacy management company. Designed / programmed generalized Medicaid EDI interface to 3rd party payor, managed multiple subcontractors and client staff for various Visual Dataflex Y2K remediation projects, architected and implemented Dataflex OOPs real-time transaction management systems, upgrades & customizations to core product line. Designed interfaces for automated medication dispensing equipment (Pyxis).

CHS Automation / Pneumatic Feed Services: Retained by Roseville, MI coil handling equipment sales & reconditioning company to upgrade their RC Professional (RCPro) Job Costing system from VDF7 (Visual Dataflex) to VDF2010 (16.1). Performed baseline analysis on existing system (source, executables, table design, data, IT environment) and migration plan. Completed migration.

Dataforce Corporation: Dallas, TX based systems house. Multiple Dataflex projects. (1) Multi-year contract for creation of large Payroll Service Bureau system. Responsibilities included designing / programming the job control of the system, the payroll processing, reporting, and output management modules. Project required liaison with several other programmers, database administrator, end users, and management. Review alternative programming languages and wrote the primary technical documentation. (2) Programmed surety bonding system.

Detroit Name Plate Etching:  Retained by Ferndale, MI based 100+ year old nameplate manufacturer to upgrade their RCPro (RC Professional) Job Costing system, originally developed by RC Systems, from VDF7 (Visual Dataflex) to VDF2012 (17.1). Performed baseline analysis on existing system (source, executables, table design, data, IT environment) and migration plan. Completed migration.  Ongoing enhancement and support.

DSA Community Publishing: Harte-Hanks (Newsday) Long Island, NY weekly newspaper publishing subsidiary. Contracted to make major database and Dataflex 3.1 programming improvements to their custom information systems.

George Myer Company: Houston, TX leading designer and manufacturer of high pressure and large bore swage fittings for the toughest applications in the energy, marine and petrochemical industries. Since 1953 the GMCO brand of high performance swage couplings have been engineered and designed to provide the safety and reliability that the industry demands.  Retained in 2016 to upgrade company’s Management Information System from Dataflex 3.2 (DOS) to VDF18.2.  Project included complex data transformation to normalize and enhance data architecture, as well as ground up build of Windows based Visual Dataflex MIS using Dataflex Reports.

Graphite Products Corp: Retained by Madison Heights, MI based specialty graphite fab and production company to upgrade their RCPro (RC Professional) Job Costing system, originally developed by RC Systems, from VDF7 (Visual Dataflex) to VDF2010 (16.1). Performed baseline analysis on existing system (source, executables, table design, data, IT environment) and migration plan. Migration successfully completed with all data retained.  Upgraded to VDF2012 (17.1) October 2014.

Infomark Software Corporation: Silicon Valley software company. Multiple engagements. (1) Usability testing and programming of Content Management System (CMS) for use by non-profits, educational and training companies. Cold Fusion MX, SQL Server 2000. (2) Build web interface for one of top 5 mortgage credit reporting agencies on west coast. Included security design and implementation, installation and administration of SQL Server 7.0 and Btrieve, interfaces to legacy systems, research into CORBA and COM interfaces. Designed / programmed prototype GUI front-end in PowerBuilder to interface with legacy database system in Dataflex and Btrieve. Cold Fusion, Javascript, HTML, ODBC, SQL Server 7, COM, SQL, IIS, Fast Track.

ITW Thermal Films: Retained by Chicago Heights, IL based thermal film manufacturer to upgrade their RCPro (RC Professional) Job Costing system, originally developed by RC Systems, from VDF7 (Visual Dataflex) to VDF2012 (17.1). Performed baseline analysis on existing system (source, executables, table design, data, IT environment) and migration plan in 2014. Migration to VDF2012 (17.1) completed May 2016.  Included upgrading bi-directional interfaces to UPS/FEDEX and e-store.  Ongoing feature enhancements, version upgrades and support.

Mid-West Instrument: Retained by Sterling Heights, MI based instrument manufacturer to upgrade their RCPro (RC Professional) Job Costing system, originally developed by RC Systems, from VDF7 (Visual Dataflex) to VDF2016 (18.2). Performed baseline analysis on existing system (source, executables, table design, data, IT environment) and migration plan in Q1 2017. Migration ongoing.

Minerva Associates: San Diego, CA based systems house specializing in automated warehousing systems. Upgrades to existing Dataflex systems; conversion of procedural code base to object-oriented code base.

The Flyer: Large Tampa, FL based trade newspaper. Multiple projects. (1) Revamped ad entry text editor application written in Dataflex 2.3b with custom C library extensions into standard Dataflex 3.1 text editor maintaining full compatibility with previous application. (2) Design and implement national DNC (Do Not Call) into existing classifed ad system. (3) System support and enhancements.

Transportation Casualty Insurance: Ft. Lauderdale, FL commercial casualty insurer. Converted paper form-based binder printing system to Dataflex form on-demand binder printing system saving company $100K annually in form costs, workflow streamlining, Y2K remediation on primary information system, multiple IT projects.

Wm Ohs, Inc.: Denver, CO builder of high-end traditional handcrafted kitchens. Contracted to upgrade their legacy Dataflex 2.3b custom manufacturing system to Dataflex 3.2, including Y2K compliance and code streamlining, resolve network printing issues, upgrade legacy printer capability, interface to national Order Entry & Billing system. Currently retained for Dataflex support and enhancing system.
